Aftercare for powder brows and lip blush
What to do while your new brows or lips heal, and when to come back for your touch-up. Monika goes through this with you on the day. This page is there when you want to check.
Always follow the aftercare sheet and the balm Monika gives you. If anything here differs from what she told you, her advice for your skin comes first.
Powder brows
For the first days your brows look darker and sharper than they will be. The colour softens as they heal.
Do
- Keep your brows clean and dry. If needed, dab them gently with a clean tissue.
- Use only the aftercare balm Monika gives you, the way she shows you.
- Let any flakes fall off on their own.
- Sleep on your back for the first nights if you can.
Avoid until they have healed
- Touching, rubbing, picking or scratching.
- Makeup, creams, serums or tan on the brow area.
- Swimming, saunas, steam rooms and hard workouts that make you sweat.
- Direct sun and sunbeds.
Lip blush
Right after the treatment your lips look brighter and a little fuller. The colour settles as they heal.
Do
- Keep your lips soft with the balm Monika gives you.
- Drink through a straw for the first days.
- Let any peeling come off on its own.
Avoid until they have healed
- Lipstick, gloss and other lip products.
- Very hot, spicy or salty food.
- Picking or biting your lips.
- Direct sun and sunbeds.
If you have ever had cold sores, tell Monika before your appointment.
When to get in touch
If something about the healing worries you, call the salon or send a WhatsApp message. Monika would rather hear from you early.
If redness, swelling or pain gets worse instead of better, or you feel unwell, contact your GP.
Your touch-up
Come back 6 to 8 weeks after your treatment, once you have healed. Monika refines the colour and shape so the result stays even. It costs €70 and takes 1 hour.
